Angelika Houston one of my favourite and most rarely seen actresses. My view could have been so different. After watching her transformation in the film The Witches I was plagued by night terrors for what felt like weeks and months. I suppose this is the first time (if you don't count when I cried after watching a scene in Sesame Streets: Follow that bird) that a film had a real direct emotional impact on me that has rippled into the present and effected my writing. Being older I understand that it wasn't just the transformative nature of the film but Angelika's performance without makeup.Domineering and powerful!
